Squirrels in Taiwan

TAIPEI, Taiwan – May 20, 2017

You cannot miss the squirrels in Taiwan particularly in its numerous parks and mountains.

Here are a few pictures of several squirrels I saw in Mount Elephant near Mount Thumb (拇指山):

They are a friendly bunch and will happily snap up food like bread you throw their way. I have seen some people doing that and the squirrels will get the food that is barely a foot away from the person.

I have observed the same behaviors of the squirrels in other parks within Taipei City like the Daan Forest Park (大安森林公園) and Rongxing Park (榮星花園公園).
