Hiking – Baishihu Suspension Bridge (白石湖吊橋)

In our previous blog “Hiking – Yuanjue Temple (圓覺寺)”, we continued our hike to Baishihu Suspension Bridge (白石湖吊橋) after looking around at Yuanjue Temple (圓覺寺). This is a short distance of 550 meters.

The Baishihu Suspension Bridge (白石湖吊橋) is 116 meters long and shaped like the keel of a boat (龍骨). Below are some pictures of Baishihu Suspension Bridge (白石湖吊橋):

Walking to the other end of the Baishihu Suspension Bridge (白石湖吊橋),  we enter the Baishihu Community (白石湖社區) where it is known as a leisure agricultural area. There are several vegetable and strawberry farms in this community.

Walking back from Baishihu Suspension Bridge (白石湖吊橋), we passed by a restaurant called Bishan Yewei (碧山野味) where we had free-range chicken meal.

Beside this restaurant, you will see Bishanyan Kaizhang Shengwang Temple (碧山巖開漳聖王廟), another beautiful temple in the Neihu District of Taipei City. We will write about this temple in another blog later.

  1. The hiker in me, HAD to check this post out! What an incredible suspension bridge! We hiked one in Canada once…what a trill. I love the photo of the heart shaped lake you posted. The flowers outlined on it are beautiful!
This is one of my favorite responses. I’m sharing this post today 🙂
